Her rised to the power isn't understood without the help of Julius Caesar, consul of Rome, who supported her during the dispute of she with her brother Ptolemy XIII. Exchange, Cleopatra supported to Caesar in his clash against Pompey and later to Mark Antony in his clash against Octavius. The defeat of Antony in the battle of Actium (in Greece) signified the end of the Egyptian state and the rise of Octavius to the Roman imperial throne.
